This was your opinion.
I wasn't sure whether I should include a poll on this website, too, as the number of polls is exploding.
Anyway, I couldn't resist, but I don't want the attention to be drawn away from what this site is about:
Summarizing all good existing polls, making it easier to follow the voters' opinion, not harder.
Click here to see the final result of www.esc.chart's OWN poll.
My opinion in the orchestra debate:
Some countries traditionally have entries that sound better using an orchestra.
For them, it's time there was a year with orchestra again. If a Southern
European country wins, chances are better that 2002 will see an orchestra. But I
don't need one every year. It's fine with me if the host country decides.
My opinion in the language debate:
I miss all the languages that made me enjoy ESC even more as a child.
Freedom of language has not yet brought us a new winner. But I have to admit
that it would be a disadvantage for some countries, if they were to sing in
their mother-tongue.
First suggestion: Each country could be required to sing in their
country's official language 2 times out of 5 participations. That way we would
get some of the variety back, but it would still be up to each country to decide
whether they needed English for a specific song or not.
Second suggestion: A country singing in its mother-tongue cannot be
relegated... (of course, a lot of details are open for discussion here)
